membership requirements

Active Membership

To be recognized as an active member, you must:

  • Pay AAE dues($35 for new members, $20 for current).

  • Sign up for TSTA membership (free)*

  • Attend two of the professional development
    meetings

  • Participate in three events (social, service, or
    fundraising)

 

*If TSTA membership is not free, especially in the spring, you can
wait until the new signup period and will not be penalized.

     We recognize that college is stressful and time-consuming. What is important to us is that you feel welcomed and enjoy being a part of this organization! We do not require points to stay active in this organization, but we do have incentives to come to our events!!

Event Incentives

Active members will be able to go to a special event, get a prize, or free merch at the end of each semester. 

GRADUATION CORD

​Members who are considered active for two semesters before graduation or student teaching will receive a graduation cord.

*We understand that many education majors complete their student teaching away from Bryan/CSTAT, so we accept the two semesters before student teaching!
